MAILBAG: Seattle, Washington
I’m always excited to get mail from readers who take me up on the Hometown Challenge. Two postcards arrived last week from Seattle!
Two stamped & sealed “Banners Boys” postcards are off in this morning’s mail—one stamped with Ewan’s seal, and one with Zane’s seal! Which brother are you cheering on? Write to tell me, and you can receive a postcard as well!
CHIT-CHAT: My Post Office Box
I like mail. They say you can learn a lot about an author by their books. If nothing else, mine reveal a fondness for the post office. For example, one of the main characters in my Threshold Series (published as Christa Kinde) is a mailman, and the three Byways brothers are sons of Liberty’s postmaster. Hey, y’all! Today’s the last day to take part in my mini-challenge & receive a postcard from Nashville, TN. (Because I fly home later today!) For more information >>
MAILBAG: Gonzales, Texas
One of the reasons I issued the Byways Hometown Challenge was so I could get a peek at the different corners of the world where readers are from. Every place is special for one reason or another. And many towns have a claim to fame. Lately, my post office box has been bursting with good things. And so today, I’ll show you the lovely pile of postcards sent from Megan in Gonzales, Texas. TENNESSEE TRIP: Mini-Challenge
Nashville. Once upon a time, I lived roundabout Nashville, Tennessee, and next week I have the chance to go back for a visit. Since travel is one of the best excuses for sending postcards, I’m issuing another mini-challenge. Continue reading TENNESSEE TRIP: Mini-Challenge
MAILBAG: Stone Mountain, GA
I love getting postcards from readers, especially when they come from places featured in the Byways books. Yesterday, I came home to a pile of mail from several different states. (I’ll share more about that later.) And I wanted to feature one that figures prominently into Byways, Book #4 Up the Mountain: A Ganix Johns Adventure. Continue reading MAILBAG: Stone Mountain, GA
BYWAYS: Postcards for 5-7
There’s a formidable stack of stamped-and-addressed postcards sitting next to my coffee cup. Tomorrow, I’ll drop them in the mailbox up town. I love sharing these art peeks with readers. Are you on my mailing list? Continue reading BYWAYS: Postcards for 5-7
MINNESOTA TRIP: Mini-Challenge
My Hometown. I’ve mentioned before that I’m originally from a small town in Minnesota. My folks still live in the big old farmhouse where I grew up, and I adore revisiting it and them. I’ll be hopping on a northbound plane on Saturday (7/4), and I’ll spend several summer days re-exploring places that are dear to my heart. While I’m away, I’m issuing a special challenge to all Byways readers. Continue reading MINNESOTA TRIP: Mini-Challenge
POSTCARDS: Byways 5-7
New Arrivals. As you may already know, I love art and artistry, so when I have a new book in the offing, I celebrate with swag. Art cards that can be used as postcards are a Byways tradition, and a brand new set is hot off the presses. Continue reading POSTCARDS: Byways 5-7
