Coastal Highway. I’m recently returned from a road trip, which was nostalgic in a lot of ways. The last time I was on the Pacific Coast Highway, I dreamed up the Byways Books. I’m getting ready to relaunch the series, so it was a thrill to see actual elk (and elk crossing signs) on the roads throughout Oregon.

Who would you choose?
My writing group is tackling a short story project this year, and I used #CampNaNoWriMo to get my thoughts down. Naturally, my story concept took on a life of its own and got entirely out of hand. Now, it’s been structured as a 6-book mystery series in a historical setting. I’ll need to do a bit more research before I go any further with my notes, but I’m cautiously pleased. Maybe sometime down the line, I’ll be announcing its debut!
BINGO boards have been making the rounds via social media, with everyone searching for common ground and (figuratively) covering those squares. Elza and I both filled them out. She posted ours side-by-side on this post, which gives you the chance to see which of us you’re most like.
