#amreading: Curiosity House

While I prefer to read bound books (the kind that pile up on every shelf and flat surface in my home), I do collect digital books on my electronic reader … and listen to them while I do odd jobs around the house (laundry, dusting, and the like). My current “listening” book is Curiosity House: The Shrunken Head by Lauren Oliver and H. C. Chester, a middlegrade adventure that mixes misfits and mystery.

I’ve enjoyed it so much, I’m added the sequel to my To Read list!

#amreading: Karen Foxlee

From the author of Ophelia and the Marvelous BoyI caught wind of a new release from the author of a book I read a couple years ago. Karen Foxlee’s setting in Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy was intriguing, and I liked her spunky asthmatic heroine. I still quote her. “Bring your brain to the party.” Foxlee’s latest adventure promises more mysterious magic. I’m excited to curl up with this one. #BoughtIt

On a completely unrelated note, I keep
trying to spell her last name as Floxlee.
I can’t imagine why.
