RELEASE DAY: Byways 5-7

Byways, 5, 6, 7

Three New Installments! After a whirlwind of finishing touches, the next three books in the Byways series went live in the Amazon store sometime during the night. Which makes today … Release Day! This batch of digital books is ready for readers of all ages, but they’re especially good for kids who are ready to tackle chapter books [ages 6-10].

Powerful dynasties. Mythical creatures. Rogue magicians.
Wild places. Big secrets. Lasting friendships. Family ties.

Magic isn’t the only legacy Mr. Ian Johns wants for his bickering sons. The Postmaster hoped the boys would bond during a family trip, but they twist his vacation plans into a race. Ewan, Zane, and Ganix soon find themselves far from home, facing choices that are far from easy. Three routes stretch from coast to coast. The rules: each brother—and his two companions—must check in at post offices along their route. At these waypoints, they stamp in with their personal seal and report their progress by postcard.

Ewan the Eldest. Ian’s firstborn son is dependable, polite, and really rather shy. He’s a Changer who can take the form of an elk, and his route runs through Liberty’s northern mountains. All of Ewan’s careful plans fall apart when he discovers stowaways aboard a train. Tamaqua and Juniata, aged seven and four, are now his responsibility.

Ewan's Team

Zane the Rebel. Ian’s second son has hot temper, a love for excitement, and a surprisingly noble ancestry. Zane can become a wolf, which fits his reputation as a loner. He and his best friend Jovan have teamed up with Brielle Trenton, a blacksmith with big plans. The race has them zigzagging through uncharted territory at the heart of Liberty—the Wilds.

Zane's Team

Book #6 • Into the Hills • A Zane Johns Adventure
They say that people living along the edges of the Wilds are half-wild themselves. Zane Johns might fit right in, but he has to deal with a pushy blacksmith, his bookish best friend, and the town that wants to throw him a tea party.

Ganix the Scamp. Ian’s youngest son is a born mischief-maker with a talent for getting into trouble. He can Change into a raccoon, and his course meanders through the big cities and balmy coves along Liberty’s southern coast. Once he rescues Hurlock and Galena, an enslaved magician and his wife, Ganix won’t just be in a race; he’ll be on the run.

Ganix's Team

Book #7 • Across the Line • A Ganix Johns Adventure
Ganix Johns doesn’t think he needs a constant companion, but then he meets someone who needs him. Hurlock is a magician with chains on his ankles, and his wife Galena is about to be sold. Ganix schemes to set them free.

  1. Yay!

Could we possibly find out the results of the Review Drive? I believe I qualified for a freebie by reviewing books 1-4, as did the Drive winners. Potential winners can’t spend money till we know whether there’s anything we don’t need to spend it on! :D

    1. I wish these comments could be edited.

Make that ” … qualified for a freebie, by reviewing books 1-4, as did …”

If any Drive winner did qualify for a freebie by reviewing books 1-4, that’s separate. :P

      1. I was too impatient to wait. I’ve just paid for all three. :P

Please pass my review-related freebie on to somebody else with my best regards. :D
